EUG Key Management Guideline published

Railway

The European Train Control System (ETCS) enables safe inter-European rail traffic. Keys are used to secure mobile radio-based communication from the train to the trackside Radio Block Centre. In future, the secure exchange of these keys will be carried out via an automatic and secure key management system (online KMS). In recent months, European railway operators have been discussing best practices in the EUG KMS Expert Group under the leadership of our colleagues Richard Poschinger and Roger Metz. The result is now freely available to all as the EUG KMS Guideline and can be downloaded here.
